Here is the start of the collection! Daisy, Jack and I did a trawl around the charity shops in West Bridgford to see if we could find any tea cups, saucers, plates, cake stands, tea pots or table cloths. This is what we returned with. Clearly with Afternoon Tea being fashionable again, the charity shops have wised up, and are charging a small fortune for most items. So it is a start for the Mad Hatters Tea Party which we are arranging for Daisys 18th Birthday. Ideas are pouring in thick and fast, as are offers of help, which are very gratefully received! Jack is getting a band together to perform at the occasion, fancy dress will be a must for everyone, as will plenty of tea and cakes (and of course some fizz!). Daisy has requested I have a 'photography corner' where people can come and have 'formal' photos taken. Thank goodness we have until November to sort it all out!
